At Sunday Fellowship, it has become our tradition to celebrate al of Holy Week on Palm Sunday since many SF members aren’t able to come to church during the week. We started our gathering with hand and foot-washing to remember Jesus’ actions at the Last Supper, cut out paper leaves and painted paper figs for an Easter Tree. The SF Choir led us as we sang Lord of the Dance and Jesus Remember Me and nine readers helped us tell the whole story! During the message, we compared the events of Palm Sunday to recent protests all around the country, recognizing that political satire using silly costumes and posters reduces fear and helps people gain courage for the right against oppression.
